This past Thursday, March 23rd, the U.S. House Republicans were scheduled to hold a vote on the American Health Care Act. The vote was to come on the seventh year anniversary of Barack Obama having signed the Affordable Care Act into law. However, after fruitless efforts by House Republicans to muster enough proponents, the vote was initially delayed until the afternoon of Friday, March 24th. The vote was then delayed, yet again, prior to anticipated defeat after reports of Paul Ryan “rushing to the White House to tell Trump votes are lacking to repeal Obamacare” flooded the media.
